Vain Interview (Wrestling Manager)

by admin ·

Wrestling Star – Vain, Interview
Vain is a very successful wrestling manager and diva who works on the Gulf Coast.

Vain, how are you doing today?
Good, so far…I just woke up.

How did you come up with the name, Vain?
Vain is based off a character from “The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant: The Unbeliever”, by Stephen R. Donaldson. In the chronicles, Vain is indestructible.  He is my favorite character. To learn more….read the books!!

Can you tell us a little about Sirus?
Hmmm…..he’s a monster!

What titles has he held?
There’s so many…here are a few:  KSW Heavyweight KSW Tag MWF Tag Mid-South Tag AWA Tag Suncoast Heavyweight Suncoast Tag PWA Heavyweight USWA Heavyweight NWA Southern NWA T.V. IWC Tag UHPW Heavyweight UHPW U.S. DSPW Heavyweight. Currently Dirty South Heavyweight.

How long have you been together?

We’ve known each other and have been madly in love for 12 years.

What do you do in your free time?

I spend most of my time playing video games. My favs are Final Fantasy, Tenchu, Tekken, SSX Tricky and Tomb Raider. I’m also a student so I study a lot.

Do you prefer being a heel?

I’ve always leaned toward the dark side so it comes natural. But, I’ve never
been a baby face so I’m really not sure.

You are fairly new to managing. What it a kick to be in your first match and diva contest?
I had lots of fun and plan to continue managing Sirus!

If your match was televised, what would you like for an announcer to say about you?
“Watch out, she bites!”

I noticed that here is a lot of cat-fighting between the wrestlers. What do you think of that?
I love it!  It’s entertaining, I want to see more!

Have you seen our website, www.afro-squad.com? What do you think of it?
Yes, I have seen it.  It’s very professional.  Tons of solid information with a twist of humor.  It’s awesome!!

Do you have kids or any pets?  If so, please tell us about them. I kind of imagine Sirus having an alligator or snake in the back yard.
Ha! If we had a snake, it would be mine. I love snakes and could possibly bring one to the ring in the future.

We have no kids, but we do have a dog. His name is ‘Cane. With Sirius’ help, I delivered him during Hurricane Katrina. He is half mini dachshund and half Chihuahua. We love animals and plan on adopting more when we find our home.

I’ve heard you are quite artistic, can you tell us about that?
I love art. I have an Associates of Art and am currently working on my Bachelors degree. I’ve received a few awards for some of the pieces I’ve done so far.

Have you ever done any modeling? I know Spidey took some great pics of you!
When I was 10, I was accepted into a highly accredited modeling school. I would have had to leave my parents, so they didn’t let me go. That inspired me to take pictures, model and make short films with my best friend, Raina.

A lot of wrestlers keep their ladies out of wrestling, because they get jealous. Do you see that becoming an issue?
Not at all. Sirus and I have an extremely special bond. We are very loyal and trust each other with our lives.

What would be your dream angle and match for you and Sirus to be involved in?
I wouldn’t call it my “dream” angle, but I do wish Alternate Reality to team up again. I’d like to work with Irresistible Danielle. We’re so opposite, I
think we would compliment each other very well.

Can you tell us about your band?
Mortal Sorrow! We’ve all been musicians our whole lives, so we strive for music that comes from the soul. Our sound is dark, heavy and passionate.

Is there any way we can download some music?
Yep. go to www.myspace.com/mortalsorrow2

Is there anything else you want to talk about?
We recently lost our drummer, so we’re looking for one. We check our myspace page every day and can be reached there if anyone is interested.

Thanks for your time.
Thank you SnowMan!!

Minotaur Interview – Pitt Exclusive

Posted on 19 December 2010 by SnowMan Jones

Thanks for doing this interview with www.MarcusPitt.com. How are you doing today? Doing good…relaxing on a sunday afternoon watching my saints play! thanks for having me!

Can you tell us a little about yourself? I wrestle as Minotaur all over the gulfcoast from Texas to Florida. I am a 6 foot 5 260 pound monster in the ring! I have been wrestling for 12 years. I am currently the O.W.E. Heavyweight champion! O.W.E. runs shows all over the New Orleans area! I also wrestle for X.I.W. in Mississippi and a numerous of other promotions all over the south.

How can a promoter book you, and in what areas do you primarily wrestle?
Promoters can get in touch with me by emailing me at falcon70094@yahoo.com. I pretty much stay in the south but would love to get farther out.

How did you break into wrestling? Who trained you, and what was your first year like?

There was a local promotion running shows in the N.O. area and I contacted them to start going to the shows and wanted to get trained. They didnt have a training facility but a wrestler by the name of Tommy Martinelli took me to some shows and trained with me before those shows. Some of the other wrestlers also came to work with me. My first years were horrible, I had no clue what i was doing. Unlike everyone else I was thrown to the wolves and had to learn during matches. I’m not saying I’m the best wrestler but i’m alot better than my first couple years!!

Who do you enjoy wrestling the most?
I enjoy wrestling Kevin Northcutt and John Saxon the most cause they make me bring out my best!

What are the biggest names that you have wrestled?
One Man Gang….B.G. James (Road Dogg)….Scott and Bob Armstrong….”Hacksaw” Jim Dugan…..Sam Houston and Rodney Mack. I’ve also had the privilege of being managed by legends Percy Pringle III and Scandor Akbor.
I’ve had a busted knee and a seperated shoulder. knock on wood!!

What wrestlers did you enjoy watching as a kid? Did you use them as role models in your career?
I used to love watching One Man Gang….”Big” John Studd and Vader! I am a mixture of all 3 in the ring.

We also run a website called www.Wrestling911.com. Have you been there? If so, what do you think about it?
Yes i have been to it and currently a member….I go to it often to see whats going on and it is one of the more professional wrestling message board out there!

Thanks for your time sir.  I really appreciate your time.

The Bruiser Weight, Maze – Pitt Exclusive Interview

Posted on 18 December 2010 by SnowMan Jones

The Bruiser Weight, Maze

by SnowMan Jones
I recently had a moment to sit down with independent wrestler Maze.  Coined the Bruiser Weight, Maze runs Ultimate Wrestling’s school, and is one of the most noteworthy wrestlers on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Thanks for doing this interview with  http://www.MarcusPitt.com

How are you doing today? I’m doing great

Can you tell us a little about yourself? What is your name? Where do you wrestle? What basic height and weight or other stats would you like to share? I am “The Bruiser Weight” Maze and I wrestler for Ultimate Wrestling in Pensacola fl. I am the current Cruiser Weight Champ and the only 3x Cruiser Weight Champion in UW history. I am also the head trainer at that UW training camp. My height and weight are not important as I beat the holy hell out of anyone that gets in my way.

How can a promoter book you, and in what areas do you primarily wrestle? I can be book through my facebook page or through http://www.ultimatewrestling.org . You can also email me at neweramaze@yahoo.com for booking info. I mainly stay in the Gulf Coast but are open to other areas if my time permits.

How did you break into wrestling? Who trained you, and what was your first year like? I had some experience in Pro Wrestling back in NY with some free seminars and one of those being Larry Sharpes Monster Factory, but I got my real start with Bobby Dolls Pensacola Wrestling Alliance. So I was trained by one of the Gulf Coasts finest. My first year was great, I had some great battles with my old tag team partner Justin Cruze(formally of New Era) Cruze and I won our first tag team titles within our first year if my memory is correct.

Who do you enjoy wrestling the most? I used to enjoy wrestling Cruze when we were not getting along because we brought out the best in eachother and really put on some great matches, which a few were posted on shot of the week and we also got match of the year for our TLC match.

What are the biggest names that you have wrestled? Well I was on the same team as Scott Armstrong and have been involved in shows with Rick Steiner, Buff Bagwell, Paul Bearer, Raven, One Man Gang, Gangrel and Luna, theres more in there somewhere but I cannot think of them. I had a great match with Steven Anthony.

So can you tell us about any injuries you have had that are wrestling related? I have a back defect known as PARS defect(google it) its something with my vertebrae. Here is the defenition I guess….Spondylolysis is a defect of a vertebra. The great majority of cases occur in the lowest of the lumbar vertebrae (L5), but spondylolysis may also occur in the other lumbar vertebrae, as well as in the thoracic vertebrae.

What wrestlers did you enjoy watching as a kid? Did you use them as role models in your career? I enjoyed watching the Rockers as my brother and I always emulated them. My brother had to be Shawn Michaels because his middle name is Michael and of course I had to be Marty..(not that its bad thing..lol) I also liked Rey Mysterio back in the WCW days. I never really used them as a role model in my career as I always wanted to be original and not cop any known wrestler. I have my own style, I feel I do..

Do you have any websites or upcoming events you would like to promote? check out http://www.ultimatewrestling.org were you can find out about the latest shows and promo videos.

We also run a website called http://www.Wrestling911.com. Have you been there? If so, what do you think about it? I am a member of wrestling911 and I think it is a great tool to promote yourself or your show. Even tho that Snowman is a tool..lol Ask him about his run in with New Era

That’s right.  You did kick my ass a lot.  Is there anything else you would like to talk about? I found a quote that I feel is very true. “In order to excel, you must be completely dedicated to your chosen sport. You must also be prepared to work hard and be willing to accept destructive criticism. Without 100% dedication, you won’t be able to do this.”

Thank you for your time.
No, thank you and remember…………. I’M THE GREATEST!!!!!

Joe Gibson Interview (Wrestler)

by admin ·

AfroSquad Exclusive Interview:
Brutal Joe Gibson, Ultimate Wrestler

Joe GibsonJoe, how are you doing today?
I’m doing alright today. Thanks for asking!

So how long have you been in wrestling and who trained you?
Including training I’ve been in wrestling for around 3 years now. I started in Virginia for a year under the training of Sean Denny, then later moved down here to the Gulf Coast area and trained under the watchful eye of Percy Pringle III (WWE’s Paul Bearer). Once I was at his school the three trainers there ( Aeon Flexx, Ricky Roberts, and Jester McKain) showed me most of what I know today.

What is the history between you and DJ Pringle?
When I moved down here, I met him at the school in Mobile. We were first billed as a tag team since we took to one another being two of the biggest guys training there. After some time though we went our separate ways, and for the longest time we never could see eye to eye on anything. He pulled some stunts in my personal life which then was settled in a feud we had here recently. Since then our friendship has been pretty strong.

Where all have you wrestled in the past?
Well, I’m still pretty new to the game so my travels haven’t really been that far away yet. I’ve wrestled in Mobile, Loxley, Pensacola, Mossy Head, Panama City, Natchez, and Biloxi. I hope one day to make it to Europe or the big chance at wrestling in Japan!!

Can you tell us about any merchandise you sell at shows?
Well here recently I just had some Tshirts made which will be available for purchase at the Ultimate Wrestling event this Saturday June 7th. Before that I always stopped to take free photos with my fans.

Can you tell us a little about the Hellfire club?
The Hellfire Club has been in Pensacola for a long time. It dates all the way back to the PWA (Pensacola Wrestling Alliance). Some of the members were Chad Havok, Monty Warbucks, and of course Red Andersen. I received a call from Red Andersen just under a year ago asking if I would be interested in coming to Ultimate Wrestling and joining the Hellfire Club. He had heard of me breaking Jerry Reiner’s neck and really wanted me to bring some of that raw aggression and use it to benefit the Hellfire Club. I told him I had no problems with that and the rest is history.

So are there a lot of hot wrestling groupies?

Wrestling fans are (due to lack of other words) a cult. I wouldn’t go as far as call them groupies. They know who they like to see and a lot of them travel all around to watch their favorite wrestler do what he does best.

Who are your favorite opponents and why?
Oh God!! I have a few so here they are…..

Jester McKain – He always seem to bring out the best in me and always keeps e thinking in the ring. His psychological game in the ring is unmatched!!

Cameron Frost – He has a lot of influence in the European style of wrestling. So I always look forward to going hold for hold with him.

Colby Godwin – If I ever need to be sore for two weeks after a match I always look for Colby. He and I have crafted an American version of Strong Style wrestling that always gets the crowd going. We literally have so much respect for one another because every time we are in the ring together we always beat the living hell out of each other and come back for more!!!

Can you tell us the story about Jerry Reiner’s neck?
I think it was at an April show in Brewton, Al where he and Kornbred took on Sirus LaVey and Nick Vortex in a tag match. Kornbred gave Vortex a leg drop and actually broke the ring which played a major role later. Sirus and Jerry were in the corner and Jerry throws sirus to the other turnbuckle. When he charged Sirus moved and Jerry tripped over the loose mat from the broken boards and literally FLEW HEAD FIRST into the second turnbuckle. Little did he know that his neck was in a fragile state.

The next month Sirus asked me to do a run in so he could get DQ’d and keep his title. I agreed. I ran in and laid Jerry out with my lariat. That night Jerry had to be rushed to the hospital and the doctors told him his neck was broken from the lariat he took.

What do you think of Invasion Shoot Productions?
I think it has its ups and its downs. Like anything else really. So far its doing pretty well letting people get to know more about their favorite wrestlers. So keep up the good work guys!

Is it true you once choke slammed the SnowMan?
I did!! Snowman can be a little overbearing at times. He’s a very excitable young man who in that particular moment needed to be knocked down a peg or two.

What’s your favorite part about being a wrestler?
I’ve really got to connect with a lot of people who really enjoy what I bring to the table. Wrestling these days isn’t all about the good vs evil anymore. People want to be entertained and see some decent wrestling. I feel that in time I can definitely bring a lot more to these people and continue making my peers and trainers proud of what I’ve become and where I hope to be going one day.

What about Kami Andrews, Mari Possa, Ginger Lynn, or Jasmin St. Clair. We’ve interviewed them. Have you heard of them?
I’ve heard of all three. I’ve had an awkward and lonely adolescent life. You fill in the blanks.

What is your goal in wrestling for one year from now?
Hopefully to be Ultimate Wrestling’s Heavyweight Champ and move on to Europe or Japan.

I’ve heard a lot of people comment on how quickly you’ve become a big name in Gulf Coast wrestling. Why do you think that is?
I’ve heard it too, but I’m my own worst critic. I accept the compliments but I don’t let them get to my head. One thing I was taught was to be professional to everyone inside and outside the locker room.

Can you take a moment to make fun of one of your friends?
I can take a few moments!! If anyone had a chance to see “The Bruiser-Weight” Maze on the local Pensacola show called Yadda Yadda, he is the nicest bad guy ever. Plus he’s only 5’3”. How scary can he be?

Is there anything you’d like to ask the Afro-Squad?
How can I meet Miner 69er?

Come hang out with the Afro-Squad.  She is a regular at the headquarters (AKA White Castle).  Thanks for your time Joe.  Keep up your pimpin’ game, you know you can’t slip!

Mr. Fantasy Interview (Wrestler)

by admin ·

Wrestling Star – Mr. Fantasy

Mr. Fantasy and Sexy Samantha

Mr. Fantasy and Sexy Samantha

Mr. Fantasy, how are you doing today?
I’m doing well. Thanks for asking.

Let’s start with your early career. Who trained you?
I was trained by the Armstrongs. Mainly Steve but Scott and Bob had a hand in it also.

What moves did you learn first?
Just he basic stuff. How to lock up, an arm bar, a hammer lock, a head lock. Like I said just the basic stuff.

What advice have you taken from other wrestlers?
When I 1st started I was given the best advice a young wrestler could be given. I was told to just keep my mouth shut and always listen to what you are told.

What are the biggest names you have wrestled?
I have been lucky enough to be in the ring with some big names. Just to name a few. All the Armstrongs (Bob, Scott, Steve, Brad and Brian-Road Dog), Buff Bagwell, Tommy Rich, I tagged with Dr. Tom Prichard. A few more but that is enough for now.

Who do you enjoy wrestling in the ring?
Heck yeah beats wrestling on the floor. Just kidding. Yeah I enjoy getting in there and mixing it up.

A lot of our fans saw your match with Dan Delicious and Uncle Vinnie. What do you think of that match? We thought your interactions with Dan were quite entertaining.
Thanks, I appreciate that. Dan and I have worked each other a lot and usually have good matches. It is so easy to work with him. He does his thing and you just react. As far as the match goes. I thought it was ok. I mean there is always something that could have been done better but over all it was ok.

Who is Sexy Samantha?
She is my wife. I meet her right after I stared training. For the 1st year I wrestled she just rode with me. I was a good guy and really didn’t need a valet. Ever since then I have been a bad guy and she has been with me.

If you had a televised WWE match, what would you want J.R. to say about you?
I would hope he would say I was entertaining. That I gave my all every time I was out there. Heck, to have JR say anything about you would be an honor.

Do you have any signature moves? If so, can you explain them?
I usually drop an elbow off the top rope to finish my matches. Nothing to special. I do have one move I guess. I place my opponent in a razor edge and then drop them into a diamond cutter.

Are there any wrestlers that you compare yourself to?
Not really. Now I do look up to a couple of wrestlers. Bob Armstrong and Ric Flair. They have had some influance on my career.

As a wrestler, what do you do best?
I would say entertain. When I am out in front of the crowd I do my best to keep them into the match. Wheather I have to tell someone to shut up or tell someone I am going to whip their ass next. Just try to entertain.

What do you think you could improve on to take your game up one step?
There are a couple of things I could improve on. I mean everyone can improve on something. I would say my body and my actual wrestling ability. I never said I was a good technical wrestler.

Is there anything else you would like to talk about today?
I would just like to say thank you to the Armstrongs. They took me in like I was family and that means a lot to me. I would also like to say I am a very blessed man to be able to do this for the last 7 years and say I have given my all every time I was out there.

What do you think of Ultimate Wrestling?
I think it was ok for the 1st show. There are some things I would have done differently but it’s not my show so I just show up do my thing get paid and leave.

What do you think of other wrestling companies in the South?
There are some good ones and some not so good ones. Over all though the good ones out way the bad. I guess here are to many in the Gulf Coast area. Sometimes its seems like some guy run across some many so he goes out and buys a ring and tries to put on a show. Most of the time they have no idea what they are doing and that looks bad on the other organizations that are out there trying to do it the right way.

Thanks for your time.
No problem. Thanks for having me. Take care. Until next time just remember.

I’m not the whole show,
I’m not the big show, but
I am the best damn part of the show.
