Norm Kaiser is a man with a dream. He wants to fix indy wrestling. He wants it to be something that people can watch without embarrassment. He wants to create a respectful form of entertainment that people can enjoy.
“So what’s my vision? It’s simple, really. If I had to sum it up in a nutshell, it would be this — present pro wrestling as a real sport. That is, if pro wrestling were a sport and not sports entertainment, imagine how it would look. Capture that image in your mind’s eye and then film it that way,” said Norm. “We’ve been bombarded for decades with the absurd and the nonsensical so much that imagining pro wrestling without it all is a very hard thing to do.”
Imagining what wrestling looks like without all the nonsense may be hard to do, but that is exactly what Norm is attempting with his new company called American Championship Freefighting. So what is Championship Freefighting? Check out this video and let the performers tell you.
So the question is, will ACF bring some sanity to the world of wrestling? Is there an audience for the new adaptation on pro wrestling? Only time will tell.
Thanks for this write-up. Just an FYI – the promotion is called “American Championship Freefighting” (ACF). You referred to it as “American Combat Freefighting” and “ACW.”
Fixed. I should have caught that. It is a cool concept though. Good luck.
Great post, always enjoy reading your stuff about ACF.
Thanks Andrew. Do you have a role in ACF?
