I had the opportunity to visit Wolfe’s Produce in Riverview, Florida this week. Quite frankly, I really liked the place. It is set up on the roadside on Highway 301 South. They sell a variety of local and imported fruit and vegetables.
Pumpkins were a little expensive because of a Florida shortage, but other prices were surprisingly low. For example, bananas were 3 pounds for a dollar. That seems pretty good. I recommend that you check this place out if you get a chance.

I like your photo essays. Very effective. A lesser photographer would be tempted to take wider pictures and capture more stuff in them at once, which would make the subjects look small. You do a good job of filling the frame with a very specific subject and not making the shot busy.
You seem interested in the oddities and uniqueness of Florida.
Do a story on the murder of the barefoot mailman.
Or here’s something you’ll really enjoy, I bet — go visit the Old Sugar Mill in Deleon Springs. It’s a historic place where patrons cook their own pancakes.
Thanks Norm. I will put those on my list of places to see and take pictures of. I am kind of diffing the photo-stories.
Oh! And if you get down to Miami, you must go see and photograph the old Hialeah Racetrack. It’s a must. Seriously. Talk about historic…it’s off the charts.
I will add it to my list. Thanks!
